Music Therapy at Wee Care

 

Wee Care Developmental Centre is the first pre-school in Nova Scotia to have a music program! Music Therapy at Wee Care includes one-on-one as well as group sessions. Many of these sessions are taking place in collaboration with the physiotherapy services offered at Wee Care.

 
 

What is music therapy?

 

Music therapy is the skillful use of music by an Accredited Music Therapist to promote, maintain, and restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health

Who is a music therapist?

 

A music therapist is a musician capable of playing several instruments in a variety of styles. A music therapist designs a treatment program for each individual that will meet specific objectives in order to improve and enrich quality of life.
